This feature is available as from version 1.5.0
If you want to temporarily increase your car’s charging speed, you can do so using the Boostmode.
From the start page, go to Home and tap on your charging station at the bottom of the screen.
In the screen that opens next, tap on Activate boost mode.
The following screen will open:
Using the slider, you can set the limit to which you want to increase your home's peak consumption. Synkee will then take this into account to send power to the charging station.
We inform you of the present monthly peak you have already realised with your home and the maximum peak set in Synkee.
In Flanders, the capacity rate applies. The estimated additional cost (*) according to the new temporary peak is calculated immediately. If you live in the Brussels Capital Region or Wallonia, there is no additional cost in function of a new (temporary) peak.
If Follow the peak charge mode is also active (by default), Synkee will continue to apply this increased peak until the end of the current month.
Tap on Activate Boost mode at the bottom of the screen to continue.
And again at the control question.
After +/- 1 minute, you will see your charging station's consumption increase on the home screen provided your home's consumption remains the same. Suppose you start cooking or switch on the sauna at the same time, extra power will go to the house first.
If you wish to change or stop the boost mode, click on the tile of your charging station again and then on Change boostmode.
In the screen that opens, you can change the temporary peak. Click Change boostmode to save the changes. You can also stop boost mode via the Stop boostmode button.
(*) The estimated additional cost is calculated based on the average value in Flanders per additional kW of peak consumption, which amounts to €4.6754 (incl. VAT). This is because the value of the capacity rate differs per municipality.
