Preparation
This user guide will help you install the Energy manager dongle. Before you start the installation, remember the following:

Activate your Energy manager account
In addition to your MobilityPlus account for accessing the MobilityPlus app, we will also create a second account, your Energy Manager account. This is to give you access to the Energy Management module in the MobilityPlus app.

Activate the P1 user port on your digital meter
The port is active if an inverted triangle is visible on the screen above the letters ‘GP’ (or 'P1).
In this example, the port has not been activated.

Wi-Fi network data
Make sure you have the name (SSID) of your Wi-Fi network and the password to hand. You will have received this information from your internet provider.

Step 1: Open the MobilityPlus app
Download the most recent version here.
Log in with your MobilityPlus account. The email address is your professional email address and use the password you set for this account.
First time using the app?
Tap Forgot your password? and use your (work) email address to receive the link and set a new password.
The MobilityPlus app will ask you to share your location. It is important that you confirm this.
Step 2: Configuration of the Energy manager dongle
At the bottom left, tap Home
Is the Home button not available (yet)? Close the app and reopen it.
After reopening the app, tap Home.
Then tap the Login button.
Use your professional email address again, but this time use the password you set for your Energy Manager account.
Once you have logged in correctly, the following screen will open. Tap Start setup.
The following screen will open:
Insert the dongle into the P1 user port
- Find your digital meter.
- Insert the dongle into the P1 user port of your smart meter.
- Wait for a few seconds until the LED on the dongle lights up and flashes white. This means the dongle has been connected correctly.
Tap on Next step.
The following screen will open:
Activate pairing mode
- Once the LED is flashing white, press the black button in the middle of the dongle.
- Wait for a few seconds until the LED flashes blue. This indicates that pairing mode is active.
Tap on Connect.
The following screen will open:
Connect the app with your dongle
Are you getting a notification that the dongle can't connect to wifi? Then read what you can do here
Allow the app to connect to the dongle, tap Allow to do so.
Accept the notification you receive on your smartphone/tablet.
Once the app and your dongle have connected, the following screen will open:
Connect the dongle with your home network.
Tap on the name of your home network.
Select the home network that your other devices (charging station, solar panels, home battery, etc.) are also connected to.
The following screen will open:
Enter the password of your home network.
Is your network not password protected? Don't fill out anything.
Then tap on Connect.
As soon as the dongle is connected to your home network, it will start searching for updates. During this process, the LED will flash green.
Once the updates are complete, the LED will stop flashing and shine a steady green.
This will take a maximum of 5 minutes.
Then tap on Next step and the following screen will open:
Step 3: Connecting your home
Then enter the maximum protection of your home and also your desired maximum peak consumption.
Tap on Complete to save your data.
The following screen will open:
Tap on Complete installation.
Step 4: Add your charging station
To manage your charging station via the Energy Manager, the dongle must be able to communicate with it.
It is important to establish this connection. Read here how to do this
