1. The LED is flashing in bursts of 2 flashes at a time
This indicates one of the following problems:

Your home network is not connected to the internet
Solution:
Check your router and/or access point and restore the internet connection or contact your internet provider.

Your router settings are preventing the Synkee dongle from connecting to the internet.
Solution:
Check whether your router settings are correct. Click here for the preferred settings.

The Synkee update server is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance.
Solution:
Be patient for a little while. The Synkee dongle will attempt to connect to the update server every 3 minutes. If the problem persists, remove the Synkee dongle from the P1 port and put it back in. That will restart the Synkee dongle, which will try again to connect.
2. The LED is flashing in bursts of 3 flashes at a time
This indicates a weak Wi-Fi signal.
Possible solutions:
- Install an access point/Wi-Fi repeater to strengthen the signal.
- Move your access point/Wi-Fi repeater to strengthen the signal.
- Replace your existing access point/Wi-Fi repeater with a model that emits a stronger signal.
3. The LED is flashing in bursts of 4 flashes at a time
There is no Wi-Fi signal/connection with your home network.

You have a new router, a new internet provider or have changed the name/password of your home network.
Solution:
Reset the dongle. Find out here how to do this.

Your home network/access point is not connected to the internet.
Solution:
Restart your modem/router or access point or contact your internet provider.
4. The LED is flashing in bursts of 6 flashes at a time
It is no longer possible to read data from the P1 port.
When you change energy supplier, the P1 port is usually deactivated.
Solution:
Check whether your P1 port is active.
The port is active if an inverted triangle is visible on the screen above the letters ‘GP’ (or 'P1').

What if this doesn’t solve the problem? There is a chance that your Synkee dongle may be malfunctioning.
